Selected to design and renew the University of Helsinki metro station with designer Janne I. Koivisto. The new design for the station is meant to stay at the station indefinitely. University of Helsinki metro station is one of the busiest stations that serves the staff of the university, the governmental and private industries in the nearby area.
The design takes into account the historical nature of the station, being the last one to be completed in Helsinki in the late 90s. Neon lights and tile patterns are seen in the design as well as some shapes taken from iconic buildings around the station.
The design was commissioned by the Helsinki City Transport that both operates the metro and the metro stations in the capital area. Read more on the station here:
